As your El Camino District Board Member, I have a proven track record in improved taxpayer accountability, responsible budgeting, increased transparency and keeping a close watch on community benefit dollars.
During my term, I worked hard to help make two new facilities a reality, both opening in 2020. The Taube Pavilion--Scrivner Center for Mental Health & Addiction Services will provide world-class mental healthcare and addiction programs. These programs and services are recognized as a national model. The second is our new seven-story integrated medical office project, The Sobrato Pavilion. This amazing building contains all services, a one-stop for patients, and support the Main Hospital, the Taft Center for Clinical Research, the Norma Melchor Heart & Vascular Institute the Peter C. Fung Stroke Center and the Woman’s Hospital.
Most importantly, I want to ensure that our excellent doctors, nurses, technicians and service professionals have the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and supplies to support the safety of our patients and employees while maintaining exceptional healthcare services during COVID-19.
My experience in local and regional politics (BAAQMD and ABAG), as Mayor of Sunnyvale, and as a Lockheed Martin employee, have taught me to build alliances and be accountable. My experience on the board of the Association of California Healthcare Districts gave me additional experience to continue serving you on the District Board at El Camino Hospital.
I am dependable, accountable to my constituents, and accessible.
I would be honored to have your support and vote on November 3, 2020.
